Vistry Group has exchanged contracts with Milton Keynes City Council to build a new 930-home village on a 45-hectare site to the east of Newport Pagnell.
Outline planning consent is already in place for the £270m Tickford Fields development, which will provide a mix of one-bedroom apartments through to five-bedroom homes, with more than 30% of the homes classed as affordable.
The development will also provide play areas, sports pitches, new pedestrian and cycle links and an on-site skills academy providing educational and vocational opportunities for college students and unemployed people in the local area.
