Savills raised more than £62m from the sale of 156 lots at the firm’s October auctions held earlier this week.
Residential highlights included a freehold development site in East Dulwich (pictured), which comprises two detached buildings offering 10 and 11 bedrooms respectively. The property attracted strong interest on the day, ultimately selling for £2.61m, exceeding its guide price by £110,000.
Commercial highlights included two well-located mixed-use investment opportunities in Notting Hill, each comprising a ground floor shop and a self-contained flat and maisonette above, which sold prior to auction for in excess of their £2.5m and £2.6m guides.
Steven Morish, associate director at Savills auctions said: “Despite a generally cautious market atmosphere ahead of the Autumn Budget, our two-day auction demonstrated that competitively priced assets continue to draw strong interest. The auction marked our second-largest sale of the year by total raised, with more than 14 lots surpassing the £1m mark, underscoring a clear flight to quality among buyers. Not only does this highlight appetite for prime opportunities, particularly where pricing aligns with current market expectations, it reflects a growing confidence in the long-term value of well-located assets.
“We’re seeing that buyers remain highly selective, but are willing to move decisively when the right assets come to market. This reinforces the importance of both strategic pricing and the ease and transparency that auctions offer in today’s environment.”
