US-based industrial developer and investor Hillwood has acquired Trebor Developments for an undisclosed price.
The strategic move will allow Hillwood to enhance its UK presence and draw upon Trebor’s established expertise and pipeline of future projects. By integrating the Trebor team, Hillwood said it aimed to “maximise efficiencies and enhance its value to customers and investors”.
The Hillwood/Trebor team will focus on areas outside the South East and Hillwood will maintain its partnership with Goya in the South East, where it is bringing forward several speculative development sites.
Since 2018, Hillwood and Trebor have jointly developed millions of square feet of industrial space across the UK. The Trebor team will continue to operate from its Birmingham base and closely collaborate with Hillwood’s London and US teams.
Bob Tattrie, managing partner of Trebor, said: “I am delighted to have reached this milestone, which serves as a springboard for our expansion in the UK industrial and logistics markets. The Trebor team and I are excited to join Hillwood’s global operations, leading the pursuit and delivery of quality industrial developments. Our close working relationship over the last six years has set a strong foundation for future opportunities.”
Bob Vicente, chief investment officer at Hillwood, added: “This step is a natural progression in evolving our partnership with Trebor Developments. Bob Tattrie has cultivated an organisation that shares our values and vision for innovation, sustainability, and excellence. The integration strengthens our ability to meet the growing customer demand for industrial space and demonstrates our dedication to investors.”
