Vistry Group and Kier Property have acquired a parcel of residential development land at Holme Meadows in South Wokingham.
The joint venture partners intend to deliver 343 new homes on the site comprising 65% private sale homes and 35% affordable housing.
A reserved matters planning application is currently under consideration and if approved, construction is expected to commence on site later this year.
The site is located within the wider South Wokingham strategic development location and forms part of Wokingham Borough Council’s vision to deliver more than 1,400 new homes, alongside vital infrastructure, green spaces and community amenities.
Trevor Wicks, managing director of Vistry Thames Valley, said: “This acquisition marks a pivotal step in our partnership with Kier Property, who share our ambition to bring this significant development to life with high quality, mixed-tenure homes. We are committed to creating a sustainable community that meets local needs and supports the wider infrastructure strategy for South Wokingham.”
Leigh Thomas, group managing director of Kier Property, added: “We’re proud to be moving forward with this important development within our key strategic partnership with Vistry. South Wokingham is our third scheme with Vistry and is a key location that offers a unique chance to deliver a thriving, well-connected and sustainable community that complements the overarching masterplan.”
