Sessions is set to open its second UK food hall next year at a 30,000 sq ft site in Manchester. The brand, which was founded by former managing director of Deliveroo Dan Warne, is taking space at the St John’s Development being built by Allied London.
Sessions will be the “food and beverage” heartbeat of the new city centre neighbourhood and will offer 12 kitchens at the Shipyard building on the River Irwell. The food hall will offer a blend of some of the best independent talent from the North West alongside some of the “world’s most exciting brands”.
Mike Ingall of Allied London said: “St John’s is based on three pillars; enterprise, culture and living. We have already established tech and media incubators and Sessions at Shipyard be a unique proposition focussed on food and entertainment. Sessions’ business is based on the enterprise of food, and will be a great asset and opportunity for Manchester’s independent food operators to create and grow within a UK network.”
Warne added: “It is always our desire at Sessions to find the most exciting talent and concepts and anchor them in dynamic physical environments. The Shipyard represents expansion into a new region, via a scheme that represents a cultural heartbeat for the community. We hope to incubate some of the top talent from the area and give them national and international reach via our network, while introducing some of the most interesting concepts from around the world to the people of Manchester’.
