Vistry Southern and Countryside Partnerships Southern have secured reserved matters approval for 482 homes at a site in Curbridge, between Southampton and Portsmouth.
Located on Botley Road, the new development will form part of the North Whiteley Urban Extension and 12.8% of the homes will be affordable housing.
Joseph Hickling, senior planner in Boyer’s Wokingham office, which advised Vistry and Countryside on the planning application, said, “We are very pleased to have worked alongside the project team and officers over a relatively short timescale to have secured reserved matters approval for this well-balanced scheme.
“The development works very well in integrating with the rich surrounding natural environment – mature woodland and large swathes of ‘blue’ landscaping – while also implementing community-focussed urban areas.”
