Private family-office HOH Capital Partners has acquired a 0.67-acre industrial site in Abbey Wood, which has outline consent for a 17 storey mixed-use scheme, for an undisclosed price.
The site sits within Peabody’s South Thamesmead masterplan within the London borough of Bexley. Danescroft is advising HOH to secure planning for a scheme to “drive regeneration and placemaking” within Abbey Wood.
Neha S Hiranandani, principal director at HOH Capital Partners, said: “We continue to diligently unlock strategic opportunities and Sedgemere Road is an excellent addition to our UK portfolio. There is a strong and growing demand for quality accommodation along the new Elizabeth Line. We look forward to working closely with the London borough of Bexley to deliver a distinguished new development on this site.”
Dominic Fryer, director at Danescroft, added: “The team at Danescroft are very excited to have been retained by HOH Capital Partners as development manager, following the acquisition work the focus now is to secure planning permission and develop a delivery strategy. The area is already benefiting from substantial ongoing regeneration and the property presents a unique opportunity to work with the local authority and GLA to deliver a high quality residential-led redevelopment providing much needed housing.”
Erica D’Souza, associate director in Colliers’ residential development team, said: “We’re pleased to have advised HOH Capital Partners on the acquisition of this remarkable site. It is testament to our shared vision of developing sites which will contribute to the long term strategic development of its immediate neighbourhood. This is one of many key Elizabeth Line locations we have advised on in recent years.”
HOH was advised by Freedman + Hilmi LLP and Colliers.
