British footwear and clothing brand Dr Martens has signed a 10-year lease with The Langham Estate on a 6,000 sq ft flagship store on Oxford Street.
The company will open the store, which spans the basement, ground and first floor of 184-188 Oxford Street, later this year.
Callum White, Central London retail and leisure agent at Savills, which represented the landlord on the letting, said: “Oxford Street continues to see a surge in take-up over the past year with availability significantly diminishing, those still on the market will no doubt benefit from the upcoming openings and new store announcements over the winter months.”
Sam Foyle, co-head of prime global retail at Savills, added: “Dr Martens are a sign of the quality of new tenants signing to take flagship stores on Oxford Street following recent openings by Rituals, Pandora, Foot Asylum, Reserved, Under Armour and PSG to name a few. There are going to be many more announcements in the coming weeks.”
