Aviva Investors has let 6,529 sq ft on the third floor of 11 York Street in Manchester to Ecclesiastical Insurance.

The agreement follows the redevelopment of the building by Aviva Investors, which acquired it in 2018, to create more than 86,000 sq ft of Grade A office space and two ground floor retail and leisure units of 5,300 sq ft.

Ecclesiastical Insurance joins existing tenants including Rolls Royce, AON, Gilbanks and Teneo, at the building, which is now fully-let.

Julian Cobourne, head of regional investment management at Aviva Investors, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome another high-quality business to York Street in the form of Ecclesiastical, and to have reached full occupancy in the building.

“To do so in a relatively short time following redevelopment of the asset shows how businesses value well-curated and modern office spaces which have been designed to cater to their evolving needs. Manchester remains an important region in our real estate portfolio, and we are pleased to be able to support the continued growth and development of its office market.”

OBI and CBRE acted for Aviva Investors.
