McLaren Property has received planning permission for a purpose-built accommodation (PBSA) scheme on Myrtle Street next to the University of Liverpool campus.
The 242-bed scheme, which was designed by Cartwright Pickard Architects, includes Art Deco references and was refined following lengthy discussions with Liverpool City Council’s planning, urban design and conservation officers.
Almost a third of the purpose-built student accommodation scheme will be studios and the rest are arranged in four-, five- and six-bedroom clusters around common rooms. On-site amenities include a social lounge, study hub and cinema room.

We are excited to get started and regenerate this site and bring forward a vibrant student hub on the edge of Liverpool’s knowledge district.”
