Helical has appointed Robert Fowlds and Amanda Aldridge as non-executive directors.

Fowlds, who joins the board with immediate effect, has more than 40 years’ experience in real estate. He was head of real estate investment banking at JP Morgan Cazenove until 2015 and prior to that he was an equity analyst at Merrill Lynch.

Aldridge (pictured), who will join the board from 1 April, has extensive audit, governance and capital markets experience having worked at KPMG LLP for 33 years, including 20 years as a partner.

Subject to her re-election at the 2024 AGM, it is intended that she will succeed Joe Lister to become chair of the audit and risk committee. Lister has decided not to seek re-election at the next AGM, following his appointment as chief executive of Unite Group in January this year. He will continue to serve as chair of the committee until the 2024 AGM

Richard Cotton, independent non-executive chairman of the board, said: “On behalf of the Helical board, I would like to express my gratitude to Joe for his guidance and insight and wish him the very best for the future. I am, however, very pleased to welcome Robert and Amanda to the board. They both have a wide range of relevant experience, which will be highly beneficial to Helical going forward.”
