Savills Auctions raised £48m from the sale of 179 residential, mixed use and commercial assets at a two-day sale held earlier this week.
The sale achieved a success rate of 74% and brought the total amount raised by Savills Auctions to more than £300m so far this year – up 60% on the same period last year.
The highest value lot sold under the hammer was a mixed-use investment opportunity in Ealing, which sold for £2.95m following competitive bidding.

Steven Morish, associate director at Savills Auctions, said: “Having raised nearly £300m so far this year, there currently shows no signs of a market slow as we enter what’s traditionally a busy spring-summer market. Yesterday’s sale illustrated that there’s plenty of demand still in the market, particularly for well-priced residential stock, as well as investments and developments across the country. However, it’s clear to see that buyers are seeking value or a high-yielding opportunity in which to invest their cash.
“We’re already busy working on our next catalogue for our second sale of the month at the end of May due to strong client demand with the catalogue due to be published next week.”
