Star Land Realty UK has secured planning permission for the redevelopment of a residential plot at Barnes Hospital in Mortlake, Richmond Upon Thames.
The development will provide 107 new homes – 22% designated affordable – spread across three separate blocks of three or four storeys.
The majority of the former NHS site closed around 2007 and had been mostly derelict for several years before outline planning permission was granted for the redevelopment of the whole site in 2020.
The sale of the residential plot provided crucial funds to the Southwest and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, enabling the wider regeneration of the site, including the creation of a new state-of-the-art health facility and SEN school.
