CERT has submitted a planning application for a 99-unit build-to-rent (BTR) scheme in New Cross, Manchester.
The scheme, which is backed by the family office of local entrepreneur Oliver Cookson, will be built on a disused car park on Cross Keys Street alongside CERT’s Peelers Yard BTR development.
Designed by Tim Groom Architects, the scheme will comprise a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments and townhouses, a landscaped courtyard, a communal lounge and a rooftop garden.
Howard Lord, managing director of CERT, said: “We’re pleased to be able to bring forward this project, being our second in the New Cross neighbourhood and our second with Oliver and his family office team. This neighbourhood is a great example of how co-ordinated urban regeneration can transform areas, with most of New Cross being car parks or disused properties only a few years ago. We believe in the location and the continued strength of the residential market in Manchester and are looking forward to bringing this scheme forwards.”
