A portfolio of five student accommodation assets offering 795 beds has hit the market with a price tag in excess of £84m.
‘The Collection’ portfolio comprises the 219-bed Exeter One in Exeter; the 187-bed The Union in Leamington Spa; the 108-bed Goods Corner in Edinburgh (pictured); a 146-bed asset in Cardiff called City Heights; and the 135-bed Dover Street in Leicester.
Four of the assets serve Russell Group universities and rents have risen sharply across all locations driven by a chronic undersupply of quality rental properties.
Several of the assets also have the potential to generate substantially increased rental incomes through refurbishments and renovations.
Jamie Harris, head of student accommodation at Harris Associates, which has been appointed to market the portfolio, said: “We are delighted to introduce The Collection, a portfolio of high quality in some of the UK’s most sought-after student markets. The Collection offers a chance for investors to acquire a stable portfolio, producing steady rental yields in locations that rarely appear on the market.
“This portfolio is united by the strength of the locations, student reviews, occupancy rates and local amenities. An offering of this quality deserves truly best-in-class investor outreach, which is why Harris Studios has created one of the most innovative marketing campaigns the property industry has ever seen.”
