Housing association settle has appointed Rod Cahill as interim chief executive for six months from October, following the departure of Gavin Cansfield who is joining Moat.
Cahill has held a number of senior positions within various organisations across the housing sector over a 24-year career, including a stint as chief executive of Catalyst Housing.
He also worked as interim chief executive of Sage Housing and is currently a strategic adviser to Shepherd’s Bush Housing Association.
Cahill said: “I’m pleased to be joining settle at such a busy and exciting time. I know that the team have been working hard to collate their priorities for the next six years into their new 2030 corporate plan and I’m looking forward to finding out how I can help them work towards fulfilling these goals”.
Sally Veitch, chair of settle, added: “Gavin has done an incredible job for us and hands the reins to Rod with our organisation ready for the future. We’re looking forward to introducing Rod to the team and getting his input in a number of our ongoing initiatives. With Rod’s plethora of knowledge across the sector, we know he’ll be a great interim addition. Having Rod in the role will allow us to confirm our longer-term recruitment plans.”
