Starlight Investments has further expanded its UK portfolio with the acquisition of a 300-suite build-to-rent (BTR) scheme currently under development in Leeds.

The two-tower development, which it bought from Torsion Group for an undisclosed price, comprises a 10-storey and a 17-storey residence offering a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and 63 underground parking spaces. The scheme’s on-site amenity provision will include a state-of-the-art gym, a cinema and two rooftop terraces.

The property is the second BTR asset Starlight has acquired in Leeds this year and the company now has more than 3,600 suites under management in the UK.

Jonnie Milich, head of UK residential at Starlight Investments, said: “We are pleased to further strengthen Starlight’s presence in Leeds, one of the UK’s fastest-growing cities. The acquisition of this exceptional build-to-rent community underscores our commitment to investing in the creation of high-quality rental housing in the UK. In 2024 we added over 2,400 suites to our UK portfolio, and we look forward to furthering our expansion in the coming year.”

Fried Frank advised Starlight Investments on the acquisition.
