A team of finance industry veterans have launched a new international capital advisory boutique called Jackson Square Partners.
The firm, which will advise private equity-sponsored businesses and corporates in the middle market, as well as developers and operators of real estate and infrastructure projects, will be led by managing partners Timothy Alexander, who will act as head of global capital solutions, and Aidan Brady, who will also serve as chair of the management committee.
Alexander (pictured) has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and real estate credit and previously held senior positions at asset manager Sound Point Capital Management and UBS. Brady has more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in financial services, including c-suite roles at Deutsche Bank UK.
The senior leadership team also comprises Charles Keyser, who will join the firm’s London office; Justin Perry, who will oversee Jackson Square’s US operations from the New York office; and Jerrard Zive who will operate from the London office.
Alexander said: “We’ve assembled a high-caliber partnership with nearly unparalleled investor access and market insight. Our clients and investors will benefit from a team whose experience spans being both a borrower and lender in private and public markets across all parts of the capital structure, from super senior secured debt through to preferred and common equity.
“We see a considerable opportunity in real estate, driven by the need for the delivery of new property types in response to structural changes to the world economy, the need to reposition existing assets in the face of changing occupier demands and environmental regulation. There is also the need to right-size certain broken capital structures as the era of extend-and-pretend draws to a close and lenders reckon with a higher-for-longer interest rate environment.”
