Inditex brands Bershka and Pull & Bear have signed for more than 25,000 sq ft at the 1.1m sq ft Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow.

Bershka has taken 14,000 sq ft at the scheme for its debut Glasgow store and is moving into a unit previously occupied by sister brand, Zara, which is upsizing to a new 47,000 sq ft flagship store within Silverburn, and Pull & Bear has signed for a 12,764 sq ft unit formerly occupied by Topshop.

Christophe Kuhbier, head of investments, Europe, at Henderson Park, owner of the shopping centre, said: “The renaissance of physical retail is getting stronger and stronger; the arrival of these two popular brands from word-leading Inditex is a further endorsement of Silverburn’s repositioning as leading shopping centre destination in Glasgow and the solid performances enjoyed by our tenants.”

Alberto Esguevillas, CEO UK retail at Eurofund Group, asset manager of the centre, added: “We have worked hard to reposition and reconfigure Silverburn to attract and accommodate the brands our visitors most want. As ever, Inditex remains high on that list and we are proud Silverburn is one of a few destinations offering the full complement of Zara, Bershka and Pull & Bear brands. As established global high street brands synonymous with a high-quality store design and shopping experience, both will be welcome additions to Silverburn”.

Henderson Park and Eurofund Group were represented by Culverwell and Time Retail Partners.
