Canal & River Trust has sold a logistics warehouse on Birmingham’s BSA Industrial Estate to Axel Logistics for £7.1m.
The 78,500 sq ft warehouse was built in the 1980s and has undergone a significant refurbishment that includes the addition of a new roof, 1,400 PV panels and EV charging bays.
The EPC A-rated unit is let to MacDermid Performance Solutions UK and has approximately eight years remaining on the lease.
Mark Rooke, a director in MK2’s investment team, which advised Canal & River Trust on the deal, said: “We received strong interest and multiple offers for this property, in particular from investors seeking urban logistics assets. Given the site’s location, just two miles from Birmingham city centre, and the strong covenant of the incumbent tenant, it was a cracking opportunity.”
