Knight Frank has been appointed to sell the freehold interest of a 15th-century Grade II listed farmhouse and barn in Essex.

Located just outside Kelvedon, Old Essex Barn is set within approximately 2.7 acres of landscaped grounds.

The property features 16 en-suite guest bedrooms, including a luxurious bridal suite, with accommodation arranged across the main farmhouse, converted barn lodges and shepherd’s huts nestled in the grounds.

The property includes indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, a restaurant with 70 covers, a large outdoor courtyard and on site parking for up to 50 vehicles with additional overflow. The property ceased trading in March 2025 and is offered with vacant possession.

Poppy St Lawrence, surveyor in hotel agency at Knight Frank, said: “Old Essex Barn is a truly special property, steeped in history and meticulously restored to provide a memorable experience for visitors and wedding guests alike. This presents an exceptional opportunity for investors in the hospitality sector or entrepreneurs looking to enter the market with a turnkey venue of outstanding character and quality.”
