Beaufort Capital has completed its fifth development loan with one of the UK’s leading retirement living developers to support the construction of a new premium retirement living scheme in Surrey.
The facility will fund the refinancing and development of the retirement community, which will deliver a mix of 54 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments and a wide range of resident amenities, including 51 car parking spaces, a one-acre orchard, an on-site restaurant, lounge and bar and landscaped communal gardens.
A central feature of the project is the renovation and retention of a Grade II listed building, which will be integrated into the overall scheme.
The development will be fitted with a host of sustainability features including air source heat pumps, solar thermal panels for hot water generation and electricity sourced entirely from 100% renewable providers.
Steffan Goold, from Beaufort Capital Management, investment adviser to Beaufort Capital, said: “Beaufort are delighted to continue our long-established relationship with this best-in-class developer and operator. We look forward to our continued partnership throughout 2025 and beyond. With an ageing population in the UK, there is a pressing need for more high quality care facilities. This project is a step towards ensuring our elderly population is properly supported in their later years.”
