The RICS has launched a global skills survey to assess the scale of the skills gap facing the property industry.

The RICS Skills Survey, which should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, closes on 27 May and all survey participants will be entered into a draw, with three members each receiving a £250 donation to a charity of their choice.

A spokesperson for RICS said: “As we work to enhance skills and attract new talent into surveying, we need a comprehensive, data-based understanding of the skills we’re lacking and the barriers to developing talent across the profession. For that reason, we are launching a global skills survey.

“This research will take a deep dive into the current actual and perceived skills gaps, including understanding global trends and regional differences. Your participation will help us ensure current and future surveyors are equipped with the skills to meet today’s and tomorrow’s demands.”
