Swiss watchmaker Swatch Group has signed for 9,500 sq ft at General Project’s Sierra Quebec Bravo (SQB) office building in Canary Wharf for its new London HQ.

The company has agreed a five-year lease on Cat A+ space on Level 12, with General Projects conducting the fit-out ahead of Swatch’s move into the building.

General Projects has spent £9m to transform the building into an amenity-rich workplace destination and over the past 12 months the company has completed more than 70,000 sq ft of lettings at SQB taking it to 83% occupied.

A further 15,500 sq ft of CAT A space is currently under offer at SQB, which is managed by General People, the workspace operating platform established by General Projects in 2021.

Connor Brazendale, senior investment manager at General Projects, said: “We’re seeing a great deal of demand for our space at SQB and it’s a testament to the product we’ve created that such an iconic brand as Swatch Groups has become part of the community we’re building.

“Our ability to offer flexible, transferrable leases and space is the strength of our offering, which reflects the changing demands of workers – moving away from corporate desks towards hospitality-driven community-led workspaces. Offer a space that people want to use, and the occupiers will come.”
