Pan-European renewable energy group Greenvolt Group has announced a €150m share capital increase.
The investment will be fully subscribed by existing shareholder KKR, reinforcing the firm’s long-term commitment to Greenvolt’s growth strategy.
The transaction, which will take place in two tranches – the first in early August and the second to be completed by September 30 – aims to strengthen the group’s capacity to invest across all geographies where it operates, particularly in large-scale battery energy storage solutions (BESS).
Greenvolt anticipates significant investments in BESS in the coming years as the technology becomes increasingly central to the energy transition.
João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group, said: “This capital increase is part of the path we’ve been building alongside our shareholder and once again demonstrates its commitment to Greenvolt’s strategy. It gives us access to the financial resources needed to accelerate the execution capabilities we have consistently demonstrated and to further strengthen Greenvolt’s position as a key player in the energy transition.”
