Columbia Threadneedle Real Estate has secured planning consent to redevelop The Paddocks in Cambridge into a med-tech research and development facility.
The redevelopment will provide approximately 24,500 sq m (circa 263,000 sq ft) of flexible research and development space on a brownfield site close to Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Cambridge train station. Columbia Threadneedle is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating for the scheme.

We are delighted that the application was approved by Cambridge City Council’s planning committee, with members being especially supportive of increased amenities onsite to promote healthy living.”
The project team includes Berwick Hill Properties, Perkins+Will, Quod, Kanda Consulting, Pollyanna Wilkinson Garden Design/Aspect Landscaping, SLR and Hollis.
