A former care home in the West End of Greenock in Scotland has been put up for sale with a price tag of £675,000+.

The Victorian-era Glenfield Care Home recently ceased operating and offers an opportunity for redevelopment or conversion in an attractive residential location.

The property spans four floors, has a gross internal floor area of approximately 16,309 sq ft and features 33 bedrooms, seven of which are en-suite. It also has communal areas, a kitchen, ancillary accommodation, passenger lifts, on-site car parking and private grounds.

Anthony Zdanowicz, associate at DM Hall, which is handling the sale, said: “Glenfield is a landmark property in a lovely area of Greenock with great residential development potential. We have already had some interest, and we expect it will appeal to a wide variety of prospective purchasers, whether for conversion to high-quality apartments or another sympathetic redevelopment project, subject to the necessary consents.”
