Digital property auction platform BidX1 Acquisitions has acquired Essex-based auction house Dedman Gray Auctions.
The auction house, which was founded by Michael Gray in 2008, generates millions of pounds in annual sales across residential, commercial and land assets.
Jonathan Fenn, CEO of BidX1, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Dedman Gray into the growing BidX1 family. Their unrivalled local reputation and strong client relationships in East Anglia make them an ideal partner as we continue to scale our presence across the UK market. By combining their regional know-how with BidX1’s technology-driven auction platform, we will create greater value, improved transparency and more choice for both existing and new vendors and buyers. This acquisition highlights our commitment to ensuring traditional auction expertise works in modern-day property trading.”
Michael Gray added: “Joining forces with BidX1 is a natural next step for Dedman Gray. Our focus has always been on delivering excellent outcomes for our clients throughout the East Anglia region for all sectors of the property market. By partnering with BidX1, we can combine our local experience with a proven digital platform that opens up our auctions to a global audience. Our team remains in place and our clients can expect the same personal, high-level service now with even greater reach and capability. This is a very exciting time for the experienced team at Dedman Gray.”
