Hartnell Taylor Cook has appointed Matthew Sharkey as head of London office and James Proctor as head of London agency, effective 1 November 2025.
In his capacity as head of London office, Sharkey (pictured) will oversee the strategic direction of Hartnell Taylor Cook’s London team in addition to his day-to-day role as a partner in the project and building consultancy division.
Proctor will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s agency operations across London, driving business development and strengthening relationships with key clients.
Sharkey said: “We’ve had a really strong presence in the capital for the last 43 years, working with some of the city’s most iconic real estate. We’ve got a brilliant team of people, which I’m deeply proud to be part of and this is only going to grow further. I’m looking forward to leading the business to continued success in the years ahead.”
Proctor added: “It’s an exciting time to be part of Hartnell Taylor Cook’s London growth story. The commercial property market in London is evolving rapidly and we’re seeing strong activity from both occupiers and investors. My focus will be on expanding our agency offering across all sectors, strengthening client relationships and continuing to deliver best-in-class results across the capital.”
David North, managing partner at Hartnell Taylor Cook, said: “Matthew and James are Hartnell Taylor Cook through-and-through and form key pillars of the London office. I have no doubt that the office will continue to thrive in their more-than-capable hands, delivering top quality work for our clients and acting as fantastic ambassadors for the business.”
