Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) has acquired a Travelodge hotel in Stafford for an undisclosed price.
The asset, which was acquired on behalf of one of the firm’s retail strategies, is let to the hotel operator on a lease that has 18 years left to run.
Kristelle Wauters, president of Edmond de Rothschild REIM France, said: “This acquisition allows us to further diversify the portfolio by expanding across the Channel with its first asset located in the UK, identified thanks to our local teams based in London. This transaction illustrates our multi-sector strategy, integrating a new asset class, the hotel industry, while relying on a high quality tenant and a long-term lease that strengthens the rental stability of the portfolio.”
The acquisition was carried out by the UK team of Edmond de Rothschild REIM, which was advised by DLA, CS2 and KIMMRE.
