Persimmon Homes West Midlands has completed the acquisition of a 15-acre plot of land in Gobowen, north Shropshire, from a private landowner for an undisclosed price.
Persimmon secured planning consent in August last year to deliver 132 new homes at Penson Grange on land located just off Thomas Penson Road. The development will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, all fitted with air source heat pumps and EV charging points as standard.
The plans for the site also include almost five acres of public open space, new green infrastructure and a biodiversity net gain of more than 10%.
Joe Turner, managing director at Persimmon West Midlands, said: “Completing the land purchase and starting work on site is a significant milestone. We’re bringing forward much needed, sustainable homes for local people, alongside new open spaces and investment in the community.”
