Roffey Homes has completed the acquisition of a development site in Worthing town centre in a multi-million pound deal.
The Union Gardens development will comprise 216 apartments, residents’ gardens, a pocket park and a 236‑space car park on a long‑dormant brownfield site in the heart of the town.
Worthing Borough Council first partnered with Roffey Homes on the scheme in 2022 and agreed last year to accelerate its delivery by offering the developer the opportunity to purchase the land for £4.1m. Planning permission for the scheme was granted in August 2024.
Enabling and preparation works are due to begin this month and Roffey Homes is anticipating completion of the development will be achieved by the end of 2029/30.
