BioMed Realty has completed two lettings at the newest lab building at the Babraham Research Campus in Cambridge.

Biotech company TRIMTECH Therapeutics has taken 5,258 sq ft of fitted accommodation on the first floor of the building and biomarker discovery and diagnostics company Tagomics has taken 5,269 sq ft in the neighbouring suite.

Carl Williams, from BioMed Realty, said: “We are delighted to offer a warm welcome to Trimtech and Tagomics to the BioMed portfolio. They join as neighbours to Insmed and Mosaic in the same building. The collaborative approach between our new customers, BioMed and Cheffins has been great to see, and we wish them continued success in spearheading their science.”

Will Brown, director in Cheffins’ commercial department, which acted for BioMed Realty on the lettings, added: “These lettings demonstrate the resilience of the Cambridge life sciences property market. Despite challenging macro-economic and political headwinds in the past 18 months or so, it shows that demand remains for fitted, bespoke laboratory space in established locations. It has been great to maintain the rental tone and welcome two new occupiers into BioMed’s portfolio.”
