Wandsworth Council has agreed a deal with London Square to deliver 24 new homes for social rent in the Ransome’s Wharf development near Battersea Park, London.
The one-, two- and three-bed homes sits within the design‑led riverside regeneration scheme, which will provide 118 new homes across five buildings, set within landscaped gardens and new public realm.
As part of the agreement, the council is converting 10 shared ownership homes into new social rent homes.
Aydin Dikerdem, cabinet member for housing at Wandsworth Council, said: “We’re securing high quality council homes in a prime riverside location and ensuring that regeneration directly serves the community. Through Homes for Wandsworth, we’re using every tool available, including innovative collaborations like this one and our recent partnership with Battersea Power Station, to deliver the homes our residents need. These new council homes at Ransome’s Wharf are another important step in tackling the housing crisis and building thriving neighbourhoods where local people can put down roots.”
