The McGoff Group has secured a £19m loan from Puma Property Finance to fund the development of a new purpose-built 70-bed care home and 14 residential townhouses in Congleton, Cheshire.
The three-storey care home will feature a range of communal areas including lounges, dining rooms, an activity room, cinema room and hair salon. Once completed, the home will be operated by Dunham Care, the group’s care home operator.
The three-bed residential townhouses will be built across four blocks with each home featuring two parking spaces, modern open-plan kitchen dining areas, separate living rooms and gardens of varied sizes. The houses will be built under McGoff’s residential division, Villafont.

“We plan to use modern methods of construction, using metal frame structures sympathetic to the local conservation area with a mill-inspired exterior and incorporating several renewable energies, including green roofs, a sustainable drainage system and PV solar panels. Local jobs will also be created, not only during the build process but also once the development is complete through the operation of the care home.
