International Workplace Group (IWG) has acquired Accor’s co-working business Wojo for an undisclosed price.
The acquisition adds 186 flexible workspace locations to IWG’s global network and also establishes a long-term relationship with Accor, creating opportunities to further extend flexible workspace space across its hotel network. Wojo was previously a joint venture between Accor and Bouygues Immobilier.
Christian Schmitz, CEO of IWG, said: “We’re delighted to add Wojo to IWG. It is a highly complementary business that further strengthens our leading position in France while creating exciting opportunities to build on our relationship with Accor and its hotel partners. Wojo has built a strong reputation for combining flexible workspace with world class hospitality, making it an excellent addition to IWG’s global platform for work. The acquisition strengthens our relationship with Accor and expands the choice and convenience available to customers.
“Whether people are working close to home, travelling for business or meeting colleagues between locations, they increasingly expect professional workspace to be available wherever they need it. This acquisition further strengthens our platform, giving customers access to even more high quality workspace while creating new opportunities to grow alongside Accor and its hotel partners.”
