Siemens has appointed Faye Bowser as managing director of smart infrastructure buildings for Great Britain and Ireland.

Bowser, who has worked for Siemens for more than two decades, joins from her previous position as global vice-president for the firm’s higher education vertical market, where she worked with universities globally to modernise campuses and accelerate the transition to low carbon, digitally enabled infrastructure.

In her new role, she will lead Siemens’ smart infrastructure buildings business across Great Britain and Ireland, supporting customers to create smarter, more efficient and more sustainable buildings.

Bowser said: “Buildings play a vital role in the transition to a more sustainable and resilient future. By combining AI, digital technologies and deep domain expertise, we can help customers create environments that are safer, smarter and more responsive to the people who use them every day. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how well designed infrastructure can improve performance and create better outcomes for organisations and occupants alike.

“Whether it’s supporting world-leading research, enhancing workplace experience, improving healthcare environments or creating better student outcomes, buildings increasingly have the potential to adapt around the people they serve. I’m looking forward to working with our customers and partners across Great Britain and Ireland to accelerate this transformation and unlock the full potential of smart infrastructure.

Brian Holliday, chief executive officer of Siemens UK and Ireland, added: “Faye brings a strong track record of leadership and a deep understanding of how digitalisation and sustainability are reshaping the built environment. Her experience working with complex organisations, combined with her focus on innovation and collaboration, makes her well placed to lead our smart infrastructure buildings business at a time of significant change and opportunity.”
