The Reuben Brothers’ UK development company Kirkdale has appointed Sisk as main contractor for the refurbishment and extension of the old John Lewis HQ building at 171 Victoria Street in London.
Designed by TP Bennett, the project is being managed by Savills and Core Five and will deliver more than 200,000 sq ft of Grade A workspace in addition to ground floor retail.
The building is being carefully deconstructed to reuse and recycle not least all the steelwork, concrete and 500 stainless steel window frames and the glazed units. The project, which is fully aligned with Westminster’s retrofit first strategy, is due to be complete at the end of Q4 2027.
