Vistry has completed the forward sale of 81 affordable homes at Holme Meadows in South Wokingham to housing association VIVID.

The affordable homes are part of the 343-home Holme Meadows development, which is being delivered by Vistry and forms part of Wokingham Borough Council’s vision to deliver more than 1,400 new homes at the wider South Wokingham strategic development location.

The forward-funded agreement will deliver a mix of affordable rent, social rent and shared ownership homes.

Amber Bowley, sales and marketing director at Vistry Thames Valley, said: “We are delighted to have agreed the forward sale of 81 affordable homes at Holme Meadows to VIVID. This demonstrates the strength of our mixed-tenure delivery model, enabling us to work collaboratively with leading housing associations to provide high quality, sustainable homes where they are needed most. Holme Meadows will create a thriving new community in South Wokingham and this agreement marks another significant milestone in bringing forward much needed affordable housing for local people.”

Mike Shepherd, chief investment officer at VIVID, added: “Working in partnership with Vistry enables us to provide more affordable homes for our customers and support the delivery of sustainable communities. Holme Meadows is an important development for the area and we’re pleased to be part of bringing these homes forward.”
