Arpenteur has secured planning consent for a new self-storage and flexible office building in Eltham town centre.

The building will be constructed at Messeter Place, on the site of the former Wellington House. In addition to self-storage, the building will provide flexible office space for up to 45 people.

Construction is due to commence on site later this year and the scheme is anticipated to complete in 2025.

Adam Gaymer, founder of Arpenteur, said: “This new commercial building will support the local community, the high street, businesses in Eltham and the wider Greenwich area with state-of-the-art storage and workspace. We have identified a need to provide local businesses and communities throughout London with storage and flexible office space. We thank the local community who actively engaged and the first class project team for delivering the vision.”

Niamh Burke, associate partner at Carter Jonas in London, which advised Arpenteur on the planning application, added: “Over the past two years we’ve seen considerable change on this important site, but the best is yet to come. The plans for the new facility respond directly to local need and will provide a great resource for local business while also supporting the local economy. We look forward to seeing it come to fruition.”

Carter Jonas worked alongside Darling Associates Architects and Cavendish Consulting on the project.
