Housebuilder Avant Homes has secured planning consent for the delivery of 179 new homes in Dodworth, near Barnsley.
The £41.9m Smithy Wood Gate residential development will comprise a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes. The scheme will feature 13 of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy efficient house types and 40 affordable homes.
Work on site is expected to start in August, with the first residents anticipated to move into their new homes in March 2025.
