Avison Young has appointed Chris Miller as associate director in its planning team in Glasgow.
Miller, who has more than 20 years of private and public sector experience, worked as a planner at Avison Young for nine years before joining renewable energy firm SSE Renewables in 2024 as a consents strategy manager.
Rob Newton, principal and head of planning, Scotland at Avison Young, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Chris back to Avison Young. His appointment is a real investment in our planning team in Glasgow, with a high-calibre, well-recognised market expert who can drive further growth, enhance our capabilities and support clients with complex planning challenges. His recent experience in renewable energy will be particularly vital as the Scottish government continues to ramp up its focus on green credentials within development.”
Miller added: “It’s brilliant to be back at Avison Young at a time when regeneration and economic growth is top of the agenda for local authorities. The business acts as a trusted adviser to many key clients across Scotland and I look forward to collaborating with teams internally to help drive further growth and deliver a best-in-class service to clients.”
