Aviva Investors has completed the letting of a 133,000 sq ft unit at Swan Valley Industrial Park, Northampton, to WT Transport, a haulage company providing warehouse and transport solutions.

Aviva Investors speculatively developed the Rothbart133 unit, which reached practical completion in July, and has agreed a 10-year lease with WT Transport.

The unit, which has a BREEAM Excellent rating, benefits from EV charging points, a 14m haunch height, 50m yard depth, as well as 12 dock doors, two level-access doors and parking for up to 43 HGVs. There is scope to adapt the site for gable loading in the future.

James Stevens, head of real estate investment at Aviva Investors, said: “We are pleased to have gained a high-quality tenant for this unit in the form of WT Transport so soon after completing speculative development of the unit. This is a welcome validation of our ability to develop and supply high-quality facilities which have occupiers’ needs front-of-mind whilst also being sustainable and more in keeping with a low carbon future.”

Avison Young and Burbage Realty acted for Aviva and Chadwick McRae represented WT Transport.
