British Land has unveiled proposals to expand Glasgow Fort retail park by 60,000 sq ft.

The expansion plans will provide new retail space and increased leisure experiences, such as tenpin bowling, karaoke, laser quest and escape rooms.

British Land will launch a consultation period on its plans later this month, with the local community invited to attend drop-in events at the retail park on 11 December and 16 January 2025.

Ross McCall, retail leasing and commercialisation director at British Land, said: “It’s been an incredibly successful year at Glasgow Fort, where we have welcomed several popular national and regional brands, which has further enhanced the overall experience for our visitors.

“These expansion proposals are the next phase of our continued investment into Glasgow Fort, as we seek to create a vibrant and thriving retail destination and reaffirm our commitment to providing a leading retail, leisure and dining experience that reflects the changing needs and wants of our customers and retailers. As such, we are looking forward to hearing the opinions of our visitors throughout the consultation period to ensure our plans are aligned.”
