Carter Jonas has strengthened its business services team with a series of strategic appointments.

Mark Lawrence has been appointed to the newly created role of technology and transformation director. Lawrence, who has more than 20 years of experience, joins Carter Jonas from Kennedys where he held several senior roles, including head of transformation office and head of business partnering.

The firm has also appointed Gordon McFarland as people and performance director. McFarland, who has more than 25 years’ experience, has held a number of senior leadership roles, including director, people and culture at Deloitte, senior global HR director at Boston Consulting Group and global HR director at Freshfields.

The new appointments follow the recent rebrand and leadership changes to Carter Jonas’ clients and marketing team. Hayley Clifton has been promoted to marketing director and will co-lead the clients and marketing team alongside Andy Clark who recently joined the firm as clients director.

Richard Bruce, chief executive of Carter Jonas, said: “I am delighted to welcome Mark and Gordon to Carter Jonas. These appointments, coupled with strengthened leadership in our clients and marketing team, emphasise our investment in the key capabilities that support the partnership and underpin our client offer nationwide.

“Property is fundamentally a people business, and the successful delivery of Vision 2030 firmly depends on strategic investment in our people, our approach to technology and how we go to market. These appointments give us stronger foundations as a firm, support our brand, and will undoubtedly bring forward new opportunities as we look to the future.”
