Cluttons has strengthened its valuation offer in the North East office by appointing Jason Smith as a partner in its Newcastle office.
Smith, who has more than 30 years of valuation experience, joins the firm from BNP Paribas Real Estate, where he led valuation activity across the North East of England.
In his new role, he will support clients across the firm’s national valuations practice, drawing on his extensive experience delivering RICS-compliant valuations for loan security, financial reporting and transactional purposes. His expertise spans a broad range of sectors, including housing development, hospitality, healthcare, senior living and purpose-built student accommodation.
John Gravett, CEO of Cluttons, said: “Jason’s appointment is another important step in strengthening our valuation capability across the regions. He brings a wealth of experience across the commercial real estate market, alongside specialist expertise in trading properties that will provide real value to clients operating in some of the UK’s most dynamic sectors. As we continue to grow our offering across the UK, Jason’s combination of commercial and operational real estate expertise will further strengthen the advice we provide to clients across the North East and beyond.”
Smith added: “Cluttons has built a strong reputation for providing expert, forward-thinking advice across the property sector, and I’m excited to be joining the business at a time of continued growth. There is significant demand for valuation expertise across both commercial real estate and trading assets, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the business to support our clients and strengthen the Cluttons’ offering.”
