Kent County Council has sold the former Halfway Houses Primary School at Minster on Sea, Sheerness, to Homes England for an undisclosed price.
Homes England has purchased the 3.75-acre site, which is located one mile from Sheerness town centre, with a view to obtaining planning permission for a residential led redevelopment.
The site closed in October 2016 when the school relocated to a newly built facility nearby. The site, which currently comprises an array of school buildings totalling 12,120 sq ft, is allocated for up to 60 dwellings in the Swale local plan.

This sale marks a significant milestone for the scheme and is an excellent example of how Homes England supports partners to make delivery happen.”
