Recently appointed Building Safety Regulator (BSR) chair Andy Roe has promised to clear the Gateway 2 backlog for higher-risk buildings (HRBs) and called for greater regulation of critical construction roles.

Find out what it all means for the built environment industry at the BE News ‘Spotlight on the Building Safety Act’ event, which is taking place from 17:00 to 19:30 on Wednesday 19 November at host SEC Newgate’s office at 14 Greville St, London EC1N 8SB.

Organised by BE News, the only quality, free-to-use news service that covers the entire built environment industry, the free-to-attend event, which is sponsored by Freeths, GRAHAM and Senate Consulting, will be attended by up to 80 senior figures and decision makers from across the built environment industry, building safety sector and public sector.

The event will kick off with a keynote speech by 4 Pump Court barrister Jennie Gillies, which will be followed by a Question Time-style panel debate chaired by BE News editor-in-chief Liz Hamson assessing the BSR’s plans and exploring how to successfully navigate the Building Safety Act.

Following the debate, attendees will have the chance to network with some of the most dynamic figures from across the built environment industry, building safety sector and public sector.
