CL Capital Global has put the freehold of the 201-bedroom voco St John’s hotel in Solihull up for sale with a guide price of £25m.
The three-storey hotel, which is located half a kilometre from Solihull train station, has recently undergone a significant refurbishment and branding.
The property benefits from a health and leisure club with gym, pool and spa facilities, a 120-cover Brasserie Six5One restaurant and a 30-cover bar. The hotel also has 13 conference rooms, including the Park Suite which can hold up to 700 people.
Kit Abram, associate director in the hotels capital markets team at Colliers, which has been appointed to market the opportunity, said: “The voco St John’s hotel presents a fantastic prospect for an investor; whilst it has been recently refurbished there are also significant asset management opportunities.
“This includes making the building more energy efficient or a re-instatement of the previous planning permission to add an additional 88 bedrooms. We expect there to be a high-level interest in the hotel, with it offering RevPAR growth opportunities when compared to its local competition.”
