Genr8 Developments has bolstered its project and development teams with two new hires.

Ellen Lockhart, who previously worked in London for the likes of Canary Wharf Group and Grosvenor Property UK, has joined Genr8’s development team as a senior development manager.

In her new role, she will help to bring forward future phases at Genr8’s Smithfield development in Stoke-on-Trent and will be instrumental in navigating the early development stages of Genr8 Kajima Regeneration’s (GKRL) – Genr8’s joint venture with Kajima Partnerships – mixed-use scheme in Huyton Town Centre with Knowsley Council.

Andrew Fairest, who has almost 30 years’ industry experience, has joined Genr8 as project director and will assume a lead role in the £500m Newcastle Health & Innovation Neighbourhood, which is being delivered through GKRL.

Mike Smith, partner at Genr8 said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Andrew and Ellen to the Genr8 team. Both are incredibly well respected in their fields and bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and dynamism that will help us accelerate our ambitious growth plans and deliver transformational change to cities and towns in the region.”
